Hello,
I’m Isobel
My practice is grounded in an integrative approach, with over two years of clinical experience supporting adults with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My work is grounded in the belief that many of the difficulties we experience are understandable responses to the experiences we have lived through. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgement. Through developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and the patterns that shape our lives, therapy can create the foundations for meaningful and lasting change.
I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual. My practice is trauma-informed and integrates person-centred therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic thinking, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practice, inner child work, and somatic approaches, allowing therapy to be tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and individual needs.
To date, I have completed more than 150 hours of therapeutic work with clients. Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor with RSVP (Rape and Sexual Violence Project), supporting adults affected by sexual violence. My practice is supported by regular clinical supervision, and I hold professional indemnity insurance, ensuring that I work safely, ethically, and in the best interests of those I support.
I am currently awaiting the award of my Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Warwick and will be applying for registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
